Fenia Galliou

Ms. Galliou is a School of Geotechnical Sciences, Department of Agriculture, Direction of Hydraulics, Soil Science, and Agricultural Engineering graduate from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She holds a postgraduate degree from the same department, specializing in 'Agricultural Engineering and Water Resources,' and from the Department of Chemistry, School of Natural and Technological Sciences, University of Crete, in 'Environmental Protection Technologies.'

Her areas of scientific specialization include the utilization of organic and agro-industrial residues and waste through the composting process for producing organic fertilizers, solar drying, and producing feed components from food and other organic residues. She is involved in source separation programs, waste management technologies, etc.

Over the past 13 years, she has participated in more than 12 nationally and internationally funded projects related to her field, serving as research personnel at the Hellenic Mediterranean University. She has presented over 15 relevant papers at national and international conferences and has contributed to 11 publications in scientific journals. Ms. Galliou will participate in composting trials and the analysis of compost quality.
